The Exline family hosts a jam session and stage performance during the summer months at the Gander Opry. These shows are on the 2nd Friday of the months of June, July and August. The jam session starts at 5:00 pm and runs to just before showtime. Everyone is welcome to join the jam session, so bring along your guitar, flute or musical saw. The stage show starts at 7:00 pm and features the Exline Family band and guests that sign up to perform. The show is usually over by about 9:00 pm. This is an outdoor show under a covered pavillion building, so be sure to bring your lawn chair, and a jacket if it's cool.
The Exline Family does not charge an admission to get into the Gander Opry jam or stage show. They do pass around a bucket to take free will donations to help pay for the expenses they incur in keeping the show open to the public.
There is a concession stand on site with pop, coffee, candy and popcorn.
The Gander Opry is located in the beautiful, rolling countryside of southeastern Iowa. The Opry building was built in 1986 by Dan and Roberta Exline as a show place for their family band.
It is located just outside of Mystic, Iowa in central Appanoose county.

If you are coming from the south on T14, the road to the East (right) is at the Mystic city limits sign. If you are coming from the North, cross the railroad tracks in Mystic and head South, over the bridge and up the hill. At the top of the hill turn to the East (left) at the Opry sign.
